7th November. First visit to Greece.

Continuing with the explanation of our project, on the second day, all participants visited the Stavros Niarchos Foundation cultural centre, which houses the national library and the opera, with its Agora. The main quality of this complex of buildings is its sustainable character, with more than 10.000 square meters of photovoltaic panels able to generate the energy necessary for the correct functioning of both buildings. The design of both buildings has followed guidelines for the protection of the environment and ecological sustainability.
Divided into groups, the students participated in a reflection on the effects of climate change and how greenhouse gases affect our daily lives. To prove it, they were shown how a simple practice such as recycling plastic caps can contribute to the protection of the environment.
